John Fisher’s second straight E8 Indoor Track and Field Rookie of the Year. She placed seventh overall in the 200-meters at the All-Atlantic Region Championships in a time of 25.59 seconds to wrap up her season. Lettsome emerged as a standout sprinter as the year progressed, finishing fourth in both the 60-meter and 200-meter dash events at the 2023 Empire 8 Indoor Track and Field Championship. Johnson, who was also named Rookie of the Year in 2018-19, is the third Nazareth student-athlete to garner E8 Field Athlete of the Year honors. She also earned her third straight Empire 8 title in the 60-meter dash in a meet record time of 7.82 seconds, while winning the high jump, placing second in the 200-meter dash and third in the 400-meters. Johnson won her second straight high jump at the Empire 8 Championship, jumping 5.66 meters. She was also named the 2023 Empire 8 Indoor Field Athlete of the Championship meet after helping lead the Golden Flyers to their first league title in program history. Johnson competed in the long jump at the 2023 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship. Nazareth College graduate student Brenna Johnson was named the 2022-23 Empire 8 Indoor Field Athlete of the Year for the second straight season. She won the 400-meter dash at the 2023 E8 Indoor Track and Field Championships and was part of the winning 4 x 400-meter relay team that set a meet record, crossing the finish line in 4:02.83. Shea placed eighth in the preliminaries of the 400-meter dash at the 2023 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in a time of 56.82 seconds.
